In the future, it will be possible to purchase virtual assets using Samsung Pay on the U.S. virtual asset exchange Coinbase. Deposits of virtual assets to Coinbase through Samsung Pay will be available only in the United States and Canada.

According to Coinbase and Samsung Electronics on the 30th, Coinbase will support Samsung Pay as a payment and deposit method within the app starting from the 31st (local time) in the U.S. and Canada. A representative from Samsung Electronics noted, “Samsung Pay is being added as a new option alongside Coinbase’s existing funding methods such as bank transfers, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.”

Coinbase stated, “We are combining the convenience of Samsung’s trusted mobile wallet with Coinbase’s secure and intuitive platform to provide millions of mobile users in North America with a smoother entry path into cryptocurrency.” It added, “This feature will be gradually rolled out to some users in the U.S. and Canada over the next month, with plans for a full launch to all users in the near future.”
